Ok, this is where I have photos of my bike, like I have for my RV and our travels. I have had a few bike's over the years and love to ride.   My favorite ride is a LONG one. Love to take a day and ride a tank full in one direction, fill it up and head back home. An article in AMA magazine a few years back had a story about the Blue Roads, off the beaten path. Old state roads that use to be used before the highways were joined together. Lots of cool old towns you just don't see anymore because of development, plenty of gas stations and old family style restaurants (greasy spoons) for great food.  Plus I want to get my IronButt certification for long distance rides like the Saddle Sore 1000 (a 24 hour 1,000 mile ride), more about that when do get it.. I'm also a member of the American Legion's "Legion Riders", they do poker runs and stuff to support our troups and our local community.

April 2011, the 24th Annual Florida Vietnam and All Veterans Reunion. Excorted the Traveling Wall from BCC Cocoa to Wickham Park. 1200 - 1400 bikes, it was GREAT.

March 12th 2011 Leesburge Bikefest, rode over for the day, It was PACKED, but all the vendors and everything are condenced into a few blocks. You don't have to go all over town to see everything.. Met up a fellow Legion Rider while I was there. My Brother Bob rode down from Ocala for a few hours. Always great to ride with my brothers..

Dec 5th 2010 29th Annual ABATE Toy Run, Toys to benefit Shriner's Hospital Hospital and Local Charities. The weather was cool, had a sprinkle pass by before the ride started and it turned out to be a GREAT day !

Oct 2010, Biketoberfest. This was our first Biketoberfest. We rode up U.S.1 and met our friends at Mcdonalds in Titusville (about 5 years since we had seen them). After our hello's we rode up U.S.1 to Port Orange and over to A1A and our hotel the Atlantic Palm Resort Inn. We unpacked our bikes and chatted for a while before heading to Main St. where we parked and walked the shops. We had a great day catching up on each other while checking everything. Back to the Hotel to freshen up for dinner at Red Lobster. After dinner we picked up some beers and back to the hotel for the evening and had plenty of time to talk. The next morning we went to N. Beach St where the Harley dealer is and all the Custom Bike vendors. Over to Iron Horse Saloon (cool place), and Flee Market. Looking forward to our next trip with the same friends.

Sept 2010, for our 29th wedding anniversary, we rode up US1 from Melbourne to Port Orange than jumped over to A1A stopping at Marineland a throw back from the 60's and arrived in St Augustine, the frist place we stopped was at the lighthouse. When we checked into our room at "The Monterey Inn" we relaxed a wile before walking around the shops on St George St., we took the harbor cruise and had dinner at "O.C. White's" and the food was GREAT ! and a few drinks at "Tradewinds Lounge". On our trip back A1A we stopped at the Boardwork in Daytona and stopped in the shops in New Smyrna Beach and Grill's Riverside Melbourne for dinner before getting home. A nice 400 mile weekend.

Rode back south and stopped at Mom's and met up with Marty from Ft Lauderdale, Carol and Mom were suprized to see us. The whole faimly together again.       Went to bike week 2009. Had a blast! Took 125 pictures, you can see them in my photo album. There were some nice bikes there and so many of them. We got there early Saturday morning of the last weekend, by the time we left in the evening it was PACKED! Traffic from I95 to Main St downtown (about 7 miles) was bumper to bumper with cars, trucks and hundreds of bikes of all makes and sizes. Downtown on Main Street was nothing but motorcycle stuff, every shop had shirts, pins, patches and/or leathers and almost every bar was extended into their parking lots.

I had a 1977 Honda 750K (the inline 4 cylinder) with a 4 into 1 Kerker header, nice sound & fun to ride.  Got tired of adjusting and changing the chain...  Shaft drive is the way to go...  Another Honda I had was an 1987 700 Shadow totally stock and I put over 45K miles on it. I totally love my 2006 Suzuki Boulevard C90T - best looking for the price (in my option).

Motorcycle Rally Calendar

Some definitions I thought were interesting, found at The Motorcycle Bikers Dictionary on the Total Motorcycle Website.

If you don't ride in the rain YOU DON'T RIDE !!!!!!!.

RUB - Rich Urban Biker. A term usually used by real Harley Bikers to describe the weekend wannabe accountant types who buy a Harley ''cause they can and the status of it, but couldn't tell a camshaft from a brake pad. Bikers that ride with more money than knowledge, experience, and ""street saavy"".

T.W.O - Two Wheels Only, anyone who ONLY rides a bike (no car)

Too Late Light - Oil Pressure Warning Light

FTHRWYFL - Forget the Hype, Ride What You F@$#%&n Like!

Chrome-Slut - Those addicted to putting on more and more chrome, regardless of the functionality.

Chromosexual - That one biker who keeps adding more and more chrome, a chrome-overkill.

Fiddly-bits - Those chrome do-dads all over saddle bags and seats.

Bar Hopper Bike - The cool customs and pristine bikes that only come out of the garage Friday and Saturday nights during the summer (and only if it's real nice out -never in rain) to prowl from bar to bar. A motorcycle that is not very comfortable on longer rides, yet lavishly styled. Rigid frames and hardtails fall into this category.

Trailer Boy - Someone who trailers there bike long distances and then wants everyone to believe they rode many miles to get there.

Trailer Queen - Pristine antique bike brought to competitive old bike meets, and rolled off its trailer or out of the back of a van for judging, and rolled back in immediately after. Rarely, or never, seen to actually run. Back home, it lives under a cover in the owners barn/garage.

Trailer Twinkie - Any person whom is physically able but would rather trailer or haul their bike than ride it. . These people usually come up with some poor excuse to justify trailering and have been the culprits that have caused Bike Week to be referred to as Trailer Week by some. Most likely they are posers and waxers.

Twenty Twenty (20/20) - A Harley Rider ( $20,000 for the Harley, $20,000 for a pickup to tow it with)

W.H.O.R.E - We Haul Our Rides Everywhere

Fast Riding Award - Speeding ticket

Coupon - This is a traffic ticket.

Flower Pot - A cheap helmet non snell-approved head protection device.

Brain bucket - Helmet

Wave (The Wave) - Slowly becoming a lost art, but the true biker clings to this practice. It involves raising a hand to greet a motorcyclist traveling in the opposite direction. Not to be performed under braking or turning maneuvers. The wave can be above below or above the handlebars. Please do wave to every fellow biker regardless of the type of motor they are riding.
